Radiology

The Department of Radiology is represented by a diverse and talented group of faculty, residents, and administrators under the leadership of Dr. Horacio D’Agostino. Our radiologists are highly skilled and are nationally and internationally acknowledged as experts in their subspecialty areas of practice, having made widely recognized contributions to clinical care, the education of trainees, and innovative imaging research. Several have served or currently serve in local, state, national and international organizations.

Radiology is an important component of the healthcare team and we take our responsibility to patients, colleagues, students and our community seriously. There is a constant effort on the part of the faculty and residents to keep abreast of state-of-the-art advances in the specialty and to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Clinical services include all aspects of diagnostic imaging and image-guided, minimally invasive interventional and diagnostic services, integrated with services provided by other clinical departments. LSU’s Department of Radiology performs over 155,000 examinations per year.
