arnold

Thomas C. Arnold, MD, FAAEM, FACMT
Professor and Chairman of Emergency Medicine 

     Dr. Arnold has served as the Chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine since 2001. Under his direction the Department started a residency training program in Emergency Medicine in 2004 and a combined training program in Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine in 2009.
     In addition to Emergency Medicine, Dr. Arnold is sub-specialty boarded in Medical Toxicology and has served as the Medical Director of the Louisiana Poison Center since 1994.

Stephen Baker, MD
Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine

     Dr. Baker is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at LSU-Shreveport. He attended LSU-Shreveport medical school and completed his Emergency Medicine training at UMC in Jackson, MS. He is currently the Clerkship Director for the 3rd and 4th year medical students. His hobbies include hunting, cooking, watching movies, and playing cards.

Avery Callahan, DO
Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine

     Dr. Callahan is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and an Assistant Program Director of the residency program. She attended Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency training at LSU-Shreveport.

Angela Cornelius, MD
Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine

     Dr. Cornelius is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at LSU Shreveport, where she is also an Assistant Program Director for the EM residency program. She received a Bachelor of Science in biology from The University of Texas at San Antonio and M.D. from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She has been active in the area of disaster medicine and EMS for over 10 years currently serving on the American College of Emergency Physicians Disaster Preparedness and Response committee. She currently serves as one of the medical directors for Shreveport Fire Department with a concentration on education. Her real-world experience includes deployments as a medical officer and chief medical officer with the Trauma Critical Care Team-South. Her current research includes but is not limited to the study of TXA usage in trauma, disaster education for residents and calcium usage in mass transfusion protocols

     Dr. Dulaney is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine. She attended medical school at LSU-Shreveport and completed her residency training there. She teaches the 4th year medical students how to properly use an ultrasound machine.
