Office for Sponsored Programs and Technology Transfer

The OSPTT provides services to faculty and staff at Louisiana Health Shreveport involved in the acquisition and administration of sponsored projects and technology transfer. OSPTT encourages and assists scientific research throughout the LSU Health Shreveport community.

Our mission is to promote the Institution's goal to increase the level of sponsored project funding, to protect the interests of the Institution and its faculty and staff, and to provide the highest degree of support services.

 The Office for Sponsored Programs and Technology Transfer (OSPTT) would like to provide you with information regarding two (2) new funding sources for Intramural Grant Opportunities

Both are due on October7, 2018, 11:59PM

Center for Brain Health (CBH) & Department of Neurology
Grant-in-Aid

 The goal of this CBH Research Award is to develop and expand research programs related to brain injury and disease.  Grant-in-Aid applications with a clinical or basic science focus are appropriate, and translational projects are preferred.  Furthermore, the award should help drive new sources of extramural funding related broadly to these research goals.  The CBH, in conjunction with the Department of Neurology will offer one (1) CBH Research Award of $25,000.  The projects will be for one (1) year.  New investigators or established investigators are invited to apply.

DEADLINE for Applications:  October 7, 2018 11:59 PM
The CBH Research Award will start on January 1, 2019 and end on December 31, 2019

Center of Excellence for Arthritis and Rheumatology
(CEAR)

The goal of this CEAR Research Award is to develop and expand research programs related to arthritis and rheumatic diseases and more broadly into immunological and inflammatory diseases.  Furthermore, the award should help drive new sources of extramural funding related broadly to these research goals.  The CEAR will offer three (3) CEAR Research Awards of $50,000 each.  The projects will be for one (1) year.  New investigators or established investigators are invited to apply.

 DEADLINE for Applications:  October 7, 2018 11:59 PM (Note:  due date has changed)
The CEAR Research Awards will start on January 1, 2019 and end on December 31, 2019.

Grant Forward can be accessed directly from a campus computer or from an off-campus computer by setting up an account using your LSUHSC-S e-mail address. Setting up an account will allow researchers to save searches, received customized notices of new or updated funding opportunities, and to save individual grant opportunities for future reference. Please note: LSU Health Sciences Center – New Orleans is also using Grant Forward.  Therefore, as we share the same email domain names (@lsuhsc.edu), during sign-up, LSUHSC-S users will be asked to select your current site.  LSUHSC-S users will need to select Shreveport as the institution.
