Interested in enrolling in a Clinical Research Trial?

Participation in a research study is voluntary. You can decline to participate or if you are already involved in be a volunteer.a study you can stop participating at any time. Volunteers can be healthy or suffer from specific medical conditions.

If you decide to become a volunteer you need to have all the important information to make the right decision for yourself and your family. The Research Participant Checklist can provide you with some questions to ask during your visit with the study team.


How Can You Get More Information About Your Rights or Discuss a Process 

If you are already participating in research, you are encouraged to communicate with your research team first, especially if you are experiencing medical problems.

You may also contact the Human Research Protections Program for:

  • additional help with any questions
  • to obtain your rights as a research participant
  • to voice concerns or complaints about the research
  • if you wish to talk to someone other than the research staff
