Contracts Office negotiates corporate-sponsored Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs)and study-related Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs).

 Does not negotiate CTAs funded by government, foundation and other non-profit organizations; this function is handled by the Office for Sponsored Programs & Technology Transfer (OSPTT). Contact OSPTT for Contracts and Grants.

Required language to be used in a Clinical Trial or Industry Sponsored Agreement involving LSU Health Shreveport can be reviewed by clicking Language Guidelines.

If you are unsure of the agreement that you may require for your project, the Human Research Protections Program-Contract's Office is happy to assist you in guiding you to the most appropriate agreement.

Contract Research Organizations

For those projects in which a CRO shall be assigned duties and obligations by a Sponsor, the following is required:

*Letter of Authority (on Sponsor Letterhead signed and dated) that specifies each duty/obligation being transferred or assigned by the sponsor and assumed by the CRO.

* If the CRO is negotiating and executing the agreement a separate Letter of Indemnification will be required from the sponsor covering subject injury and also a Sponsor Letter of Payment.

In the event CRO breaches it's payment obligations under this agreement, sponsor will make any payments due and owing to institution for all work properly performed in accordance with the protocol, this agreement, and the study budget.
